Using a blade we shave, or remove, dead skin cells from the epidermis. Along with exfoliating, dermaplaning also helps remove the unwanted velus hairs from the face.

This treatment uses enzymes to break down the keratin protein in the upper layer of the skin, which bonds dead skin cells together, allowing the dead skin to gently slough off. This results in smoother, softer skin; and also helps diminish scars and pigmentation. 

This is especially beneficial for those with dry, sensitive, and mature skin.
